MY DREAM VACATION

MY DREAM VACATION

Assalamualaikum ....

Among of you must have dream to go on vacation to somewhere right?
Well i also have, and i will tell it.

My dream vacation is to go to France and Seoul , South Korea.
PRANCIS

KOREA
I've always been enamored with the French. They have a lifestyle filled with the pleasure of experiencing art, partaking in fine cuisine (in addition to a leisurely style of eating)

Seoul is the capital city of South Korea, a
country located on Asia next to Japan.
There have many famous monuments and
beaultiful places to visit.
In Seoul the weather is normally snowy
and cold in winter, and sunny and hot in
summer.
I want to get there by plane, with my friend
and family, on december, when snows a
lot.

When I get there I'm going to stay in a
hotel and use bullet trains and taxis to
go to the places: the Seoul tower,
museums, myeongdong center and
another places. I'm going to try the
typical spicy foods, too.

HISTORY

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

The English language belongs to the West Germanic branch of the Indo-European family of languages. The closest undoubted living relatives of English are Scots and Frisian. Frisian is a language spoken by approximately half a million people in the Dutch province of Friesland, in nearby areas of Germany, and on a few islands in the North Sea.

The history of the English language has traditionally been divided into three main periods: Old English (450-1100 AD), Middle English (1100-circa 1500 AD) and Modern English (since 1500). Over the centuries, the English language has been influenced by a number of other languages.

Old English (450 - 1100 AD): During the 5th Century AD three Germanic tribes (Saxons, Angles, and Jutes) came to the British Isles from various parts of northwest Germany as well as Denmark. These tribes were warlike and pushed out most of the original, Celtic-speaking inhabitants from England into Scotland, Wales, and Cornwall. One group migrated to the Brittany Coast of France where their descendants still speak the Celtic Language of Breton today.

Through the years, the Saxons, Angles and Jutes mixed their different Germanic dialects. This group of dialects forms what linguists refer to as Old English or Anglo-Saxon. The word "English" was in Old English "Englisc", and that comes from the name of the Angles. The Angles were named from Engle, their land of origin.

Before the Saxons the language spoken in what is now England was a mixture of Latin and various Celtic languages which were spoken before the Romans came to Britain (54-5BC). The Romans brought Latin to Britain, which was part of the Roman Empire for over 400 years. Many of the words passed on from this era are those coined by Roman merchants and soldiers. These include win (wine), candel (candle), belt (belt), weall (wall). ("Language Timeline", The British Library Board)

The influence of Celtic upon Old English was slight. In fact, very few Celtic words have lived on in the English language. But many of place and river names have Celtic origins:Kent, York, Dover, Cumberland, Thames, Avon, Trent, Severn.

The arrival of St. Augustine in 597 and the introduction of Christianity into Saxon England brought more Latin words into the English language. They were mostly concerned with the naming of Church dignitaries, ceremonies, etc. Some, such as church, bishop, baptism, monk, eucharist and presbyter came indirectly through Latin from the Greek.

Around 878 AD Danes and Norsemen, also called Vikings, invaded the country and English got many Norse words into the language, particularly in the north of England. The Vikings, being Scandinavian, spoke a language (Old Norse) which, in origin at least, was just as Germanic as Old English.

Words derived from Norse include: sky, egg, cake, skin, leg, window (wind eye), husband, fellow, skill, anger, flat, odd, ugly, get, give, take, raise, call, die, they, their, them. ("The Origin and History of the English Language", Kryss Katsiavriades)

Several written works have survived from the Old English period. The most famous is a heroic epic poem called "Beowulf". It is the oldest known English poem and it is notable for its length - 3,183 lines. Experts say "Beowulf" was written in Britain more than one thousand years ago. The name of the person who wrote it is unknown.

Middle English (1100-circa 1500 AD): After William the Conqueror, the Duke of Normandy, invaded and conquered England in 1066 AD with his armies and became king, he brought his nobles, who spoke French, to be the new government. The Old French took over as the language of the court, administration, and culture. Latin was mostly used for written language, especially that of the Church. Meanwhile, The English language, as the language of the now lower class, was considered a vulgar tongue.

By about 1200, England and France had split. English changed a lot, because it was mostly being spoken instead of written for about 300 years. The use of Old English came back, but with many French words added. This language is called Middle English. Most of the words embedded in the English vocabulary are words of power, such as crown, castle, court, parliament, army, mansion, gown, beauty, banquet, art, poet, romance, duke, servant, peasant, traitor and governor. ("Language Timeline", The British Library Board)

Because the English underclass cooked for the Norman upper class, the words for most domestic animals are English (ox, cow, calf, sheep, swine, deer) while the words for the meats derived from them are French (beef, veal, mutton, pork, bacon, venison). ("The Origin and History of the English Language", Kryss Katsiavriades)

The Middle English is also characterized for the beginning of the Great Vowel Shift. It was a massive sound change affecting the long vowels of English. Basically, the long vowels shifted upwards; that is, a vowel that used to be pronounced in one place in the mouth would be pronounced in a different place, higher up in the mouth. The Great Vowel Shift occurred during the fifteenth to eighteenth centuries.

The most famous example of Middle English is Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales", a collection of stories about a group of thirty people who travel as pilgrims to Canterbury, England. The portraits that he paints in his Tales give us an idea of what life was like in fourteenth century England.

Modern English (1500 to the present): Modern English developed after William Caxton established his printing press at Westminster Abbey in 1476. Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press in Germany around 1450, but Caxton set up England's first press. The Bible and some valuable manuscripts were printed. The invention of the printing press made books available to more people. The books became cheaper and more people learned to read. Printing also brought standardization to English.

By the time of Shakespeare's writings (1592-1616), the language had become clearly recognizable as Modern English. There were three big developments in the world at the beginning of Modern English period: the Renaissance, the Industrial Revolution, and the British Colonialism.

It was during the English Renaissance that most of the words from Greek and Latin entered English. This period in English cultural history (early 16th century to the early 17th century) is sometimes referred to as "the age of Shakespeare" or "the Elizabethan era", taking the name of the English Renaissance's most famous author and most important monarch, respectively. During the reign of Queen Elizabeth I there was an explosion of culture in the form of support of the arts, popularization of the printing press, and massive amounts of sea travel.

England began the Industrial Revolution (18th century) and this had also an effect on the development of the language as new words had to be invented or existing ones modified to cope with the rapid changes in technology. New technical words were added to the vocabulary as inventors designed various products and machinery. These words were named after the inventor or given the name of their choice (trains, engine, pulleys, combustion, electricity, telephone, telegraph, camera etc).

Britain was an Empire for 200 years between the 18th and 20th centuries and English language continued to change as the British Empire moved across the world - to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, India, Asia and Africa. They sent people to settle and live in their conquered places and as settlers interacted with natives, new words were added to the English vocabulary. For example, 'kangaroo' and 'boomerang' are native Australian Aborigine words, 'juggernaut' and 'turban' came from India. (See more borrowings from different languages.)

English continues to change and develop, with hundreds of new words arriving every year. But even with all the borrowings from many other languages the heart of the English language remains the Anglo-Saxon of Old English. The grammar of English is also distinctly Germanic - three genders (he, she and it) and a simple set of verb tenses.

LOVE

ABOUT LOVE
It's okay if dusk turns night Shortly after The moonlight came over But the star is reluctant to accompany I am fine I just want to be alone Just want to spend this flavor Just wanted to paint your smile in silence It's ok if I cry now If my longing is deep and sore I want you here to put away my loneliness I just want you to understand This is what I feel and I will not deny I just want to be alone Silence, locking my lips and myself It's ok if I cry now For you I love For us, you, me and now For a reason I never understood So leave me alone tonight It's ok if I cry because I still have a heart To feel, to ask, to give To hope and to love you

LIFE

                       LIFE IS FAIR / NOT?????

I think life is fair.
Why? Because God always gives everything that is best for us.
God will not give suffering if the person is unable to pass through it.
I think, no one who suffers more than happy, and also people will not live happily continuously without suffering.

Sometimes we feel life is not fair, but back again to God's plan. God must have the best plan in it.

for example .I get a family that is too protective, Why did God give me this family? To be sure, they love and care for me. That is the best for me, and there is a reason why God gave this to me.
Because out there, many people are never noticed by their parents and want to get affection from their parents.
So I must always be grateful, god is fair.

If you feel life is not fair, because
The Definite We will forever lose with the lives of others

In this game of life you will never reach a point where you are better than others in every way and why would you want to be.

That's why we are not happy.

Because we would typically compare our lives with the wrong things.

We will compare our worst circumstances and circumstances, to their best. From the point of view of what we see and what we perceive at that time.

We only look at the advantages alone without we assess the other shortcomings.

so,Everyone has their own test, so life becomes dynamic, not monotonous which becomes the art of life which is the creation of God Almighty.
Each person must have advantages and disadvantages.
Live how we can be grateful for all the shortcomings and the advantages of it. With gratitude then our lives will be happy. thank you :)

I was born on September 6, 1998 in Tangerang

My parents' names are Jacob (father) and Juwartini (mother)
My father was born in Brebes on July 27, 1969 and my mother was born in Blora on January 22, 1973

I am an only child

Do you think being an only child is good?
Of course everyone thinks that, he said if the only child we want to be followed, it's true, but for me it's not entirely true.
Being an only child feels lonely, let alone at home is also nothing neighbors my age. hmm sooo lonely more.

I studied at Gunadarma University Karawaci majoring in English literature
Why am I taking English literature?
Actually from the beginning of my high school graduation there is no intention to take English literature, I want to enroll in UNJ (Jakarta State University) majoring in fine arts education because I like to draw,
But my parents do not allow it because it is far away and should be boarding house, so my parents suggest to go to Gunadarma course which is close, from where I am confused I have to take what direction? I am searching on google and see there are any majors at Gunadarma University.
At first I was interested in architecture, because I like to draw, but I do not like to count ☹

Then I am interested in English literature because I think if I am good at speaking english I will easily get a job and can way out of the country hehe.
Finally I decided to choose English literature department although my English skills are still very low (reckless capital) hehe.

After lecturing for 1 semester, I felt I was wrong because my friend's friends fluent in English and I had time to down. I told my parents, they said if you want to move yes move it, but if still want to stay in this department ya try and pray.
I think day to day for this,
Finally I remain in English literature. Said my parents can all be dihadapin if want to try and pray. hehe . And hopefully I can pass this department well, amen.
For you who feel the wrong direction, you can keep trying, because all there is a way :).

Maybe a little first I can write, see you again in the next article.

thanks for reading . Assalamu'alaikum ☺

MY HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE
"HOLIDAY TO KLATEN"
😃

Assalamualaikum wr.wb
Hiiii...😊
My name is Nanda Niku Rahmawati, you can call me Nanda

I want to tell you about my holiday experience

on the Eid holiday, I visited my hometown in Klaten, Central Java.
I went with my parents there. I was on vacation for two weeks. I visited a few places there.

so, this is my story
⬇⬇⬇

on Saturday, me, my cousin, and my parents had a plan to go to Prambanan, and finally we departed.
but when we got there
turned out to be very crowded, because it's the weekend, so we did not so bought tickets for a very long queue. My mama said "tomorrow we come here again, for sure it was a long time "
Finally we went to the temple that is located not too far from Prambanan, namely Plaosan.
Plaosan still very clean and tidy, I get into Plaosan with prices 0 rupiah or free. hehehehe.  either because I speak Javanese or why I do not know. I can speak Javanese, when the clerk asked "where did it came from?" I just mention the name of my village, the village "kagokan" with the Java language, and then he invited us to enter. the day was very hot, we take photos, I took a photo with my cousin, and my mom took a picture with my father, they say 'nostalgia' ahahaha. we entered the temple and the temple looked at the beauty of the rice fields near the temple.

next day , on Sunday morning , around 5:15 a.m ,  I and two of my cousins (asya and wulan) go to Prambanan when the "car free day"
we walked around while exercising and breathe in the cool of the morning dew there, it seems like every day of the week is always there the "car free day '".
before we go to Prambanan, we buy food first because we have not had breakfast.
My cousins and I bought crispy, sausage, meatballs and drinks.
after we finished eating we decided to continue the journey into the Prambanan temple.

While there (behind the fence) turns his fence its closed, but because it is so lazy to turn around to the front fence, finally a lot of people who climb the fence, I myself was doing the same thing. Dont imitate friend, is not a good deed: ")
we finally reached the Prambanan temple, it was very cold mornings and cool, fog was still thick, but very comfortable for me, we were around the temple area and once the fog had thinned we started to take pictures photos.  we were there only until 9 am because it was getting hot so we came back home. it has been many times I to Prambanan, because as a child I lived in Java and my grandfather's house near the temple Prambanan.
This one of my photos there:
this is me , i love this photo ,because i look so slim hehehe
This is my cousin named asya, people say we are twins.

a few days later I was just at home alone, I was bored, so I asked my cousin named asya, "sya, lets to go , but, where? " then asya answer "Where? what if temple barong, but so far , whether we be go there? "
and finally we asked for permission to go to the temple boko, initially banned, but after negotiations we were allowed to go there and not be too long. finally at 3:30 p.m or around ba'da Asr we departed, I ride the motorcicle along asya, and wulan, along with his son quarterly.
the road to the temple barong almost as much as to the top of Bogor, so, we had to drive up to his way uphill and turn turn, slightly creepy indeed, about 30 minutes we arrived there, we went to the expense 5,000 / person. cheap once yeah.   barong in the temple area, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery, the temple is located on a hill, so we can see the building houses, fields and all the sights there under the temple, very beautiful. we were there until maghrib and until sun almost set, we also see a beautiful sunset.
this is me , asya ,wulan and her son .
in candi barong

near my grandfather's house there is a river, the river is its very clear water, and it was after my long visit there, now the river is under construction and would like to be a tourist spot, during the inauguration ceremony, my mom and me to the river ,named " Woro Purbo "
My dad did not take part because my dad had returned to tangerang to return work. i love you dad. hehe
My mom and I played water there, the water is clear and cold.
I am wearing a blue dress, and my mama who wear hijab ( in woro purbo river )

in the last day, I went to Prambanan again to buy something for my friends and my neighbour in tangerang , I went along asya, I bought a some food , blangkon, and several kinds of key chains, the price is very cheap.

and finally i came back to tangerang with my mom.

I am very pleased to visit klaten, this is the land of my birth. I look forward to all klaten again. I loved the land of my birth and my hometown.

it was a place I visit when the Eid holiday in the near future.
enough of my story, I hope you also really love your hometown like me. hehehehehe
see you in my next article . bye bye. thanks for reading :)

wassalamu'alaikum wr.wb😊
